Just another update. I put in the new springs and the problem still persists. The springs were very easy to put in and they work well. At the moment they lifted the rear of my truck about an inch. I towed my trailer and the rear hardly came down. Had about 1000 lbs of wood in it today and didn't even notice it. The ride is practically the same without a load. Just a tad rougher but not much. Don't know what I am going to do next. Any suggestions???
I have a 2019 RAM classic. I've been having the same problem so I've added the airlift 1000. That seemed to help at first but then it just got worse. It would get so bad that the brakes would auto engage when I hit a bump too hard. So at this point I put on new skyjacker shocks and that helped me control the truck better. But I am still having the problem with swaying in the rear. After asking around and reading I'm going to try and replace the rear control arms. I grabbed them the other day and they were loose.

I am starting to have a problem with my truck at highway speeds. It kinda rocks back and forth. I have had this problem a couple of times when I have a lot of weight in the bed. Now it seems like it is doing it with nothing in the back . What causes it and how do I get rid of it?

Did you ever figure out your problem mine is doing it also 13 ram 1500 quad

Seems others with this problem have replaced springs and shocks, even added more springs (i.e. air bags) without fixing the sway. So this points to other parts of the rear suspension becoming loose like acecrump has found.

Lower control arms and sway bar(end links are garbage) upgrades will correct the rocking especially under heavy acceleration. The stock rear end is extremely soft (low durometer china bushings don't last long in cold climates) for comfort sacrificing handling and towing capability.

While you're under there, pull the panhard/track bar and verify those bushing are not cracked. The entire bar assembly can be had cheap as an aftermarket OEM replacement.

I had that same problem. I replaced pretty much everything I could think of. Shocks (front and rear), springs, sway bar links, tires. In the end it ended up being my control arm bushings. The nut kinda hides the bushing a little and they had no play in them when they were on the truck. But when I took them off it was clear that that was the issue. The bushings were very worn and the truck had under 100k miles at the time.
I bought upper and lower control arms driver and passenger strait from dodge. It was a bit spendy I think I payed bout 600ish just for the parts. Replaced them my self. It Was very easy.littwrly 1 big bolt on each end.

That's at least what I did and it fixes my problem. My truck would bounce / sway so violently sometimes that the ABS would kick on going down the highway.
Hope this helps somebody. I was getting very frustrated when I had this problem.

Yes replaced sway bar links and found out the track bar was loose also. Now it drives like a new one.

Just to let everyone know I was able to fix the problem. I bought all 4 sway bar links and while putting them on I noticed that my track bar was loose. I don't know whether it was one or both problems but now it drives like new again. Thanks for all the help.

Man thank you you answered all my problems and I'm positive. Have 16 Rebel and been pinning my problems on air ride but reading your comment made it click. My GY DT has half tread life but willing to bet the sidewall wear is the issue and my air ride, electronic braking system, And trailer brake have no idea what the problem is so kicks out deciding I don't need cruise control or traction control. Can't find an answer to this problem but my DT tread us grabing like intended but the sidewalls are basically floating truck back and forth. Gonna push on truck and see if I get a side to side motion when sun comes up instead of a rocking motion but am positive won't need a level to see it more then likely stays mostly flat as rims push in and out of the tire. Will update and truck will not be getting another z rated tire as I belive that is the issue. Daily driving has sidwals worn and iv wasted alot of time, effort, and money overlooking and blaming my air ride due to the tread life being fine.
