Still under 1000 miles on my Laramie. Today when I left work I thought it felt a little sluggish. A few miles later it was so noticeable I pulled over and popped the hood took look around for anything that appeared out of place (I'm not an idiot, but definitely not a mechanic). Everything appeared normal. I turned the truck off and let it sit for a few minute then started and continued home. Check engine light came on almost immediately. Code reader says P303 cylinder three misfire three times and P113D once. Truck feels weak. Anybody had any issues like this?

Took it to the dealer. Verdict is a BROKEN ROCKER ARM. They suspect it was defective from the factory. If anyone has had this problem, please let me know.
I havent heard of any issues however another member may chime in.....Did they say how long they are going to keep it.....

Also a bent pushrod. They said they have to order the parts and that will make it at least monday before I get it back. I just got it back monday from having a dent that they caused repaired. They had it seven days after telling me three. The good news is they've given me a chrysler 200 to replace my Laramie in the mean time :(

Rocker assembly problem

Hey Guys i am brand new to the dodge forum but after reading your post i had to join and tell you the news. I myself bought a 2014 dodge ram sport on december 22 not even a month later i had the same problem. i had a misfire on the sixth cylinder. had very noticeable power decrease and the truck would shake very back at idle. i took it into the dealer they said my rocker assembly was broken and had to replace it. i freaked out sort of because this was my first new vehicle purchase and already having problems right out of the gate. It sounded worse then i thought. fortunately for me my dealer fixed it within 2 days. I had it back running no problems. To be honest with you once they fix it i havent had any problems at all except for one issue. And i say this with hesitation because i dont know if it is in my head or not but i feel like sometimes it doesnt shift properly when im driving it but there isnt a definitive occurence on this. If you have any questions let me know i have my work up from the dealer still about the repairs. as of now the truck is fine. no problems just wish i didnt have a bad taste in my mouth after 1 thousand miles on it :(. i feel like i am searching for things to be wrong with it...

its nice meeting you guys on here. hope to talk to you guys soon.

Laramie81 keep us in the loop as to what happens. Curious to hear how your dealer treats you.

Sorry to hijack the thread, MJ take her back to the dealer, I know there are a couple of different flashes they can do to get the transmission shifting right. My 11 Ram had 4 different software loads before it was right and now my 13 is on flash #3. It's a beast now.

Hey stumper nice to meet you. So you say take her back huh? What should I tell them? I am not even sure if it's a problem or not. Do you think this type of repair would have somehow tampered with the shifting? The rare occurence I do notice it at is when I am in first gear shifting to second at a very very low rpm like 1200. It seems like it has a slight hesitation.

The transmission is so smart that it is actually trying to read your mind. Lol. Just kidding. I would feel it out for a while. I bought my truck at the end of November and also had some weird shift patterns happening. Hard 2nd to 1st shift. Delayed up shifts. Now at 7800 kms and the tranny is smooth as butter up and down. Just took some time to break in and learn my driving style I think.

I had the exact same problem 11 days ago. 991 miles and broke rocker arm on #7 intake. I had to be towed to a dealer in Joplin, MO and they had it back up 2 days later. Now I have a tapping, and I'm sending back to my dealer to get it fixed this week. I'm hoping it just needs an adjustment. I've been reading about quite a few trucks and cars with the Hemi having this problem.

Another broken rocker arm and MDS solenoid

I had my truck 2 months and less than 2000 miles when it started tapping, then it started shaking and felt like it did not want to accelerate and the engine light came on. I called the dealer and he said drive it in, 15 miles on the interstate, I said no way, it has to be towed. Towed it in, and the codes P0304 and P1414 came up. The first thing they found was the MDS solenoid for cylinder 4 was active even at idle, then they saw a crack in it, when they went to remove it, it was sheared off at the block. When they got it fixed, code P1414 was gone but P0304 was not. They then found the broken rocker arm on the intake side of cylinder 4. They replaced the entire rocker shaft assembly on the intake side. I had them change the oil to synthetic. I collected a sample and sent it to Blackstone Labs. I explained what happened to my engine. They said it had some metal fragments, but similar to what they see on a new hemi engine on the first oil change. Please, if you have had this problem call Chrysler and tell them you are very concerned and are not happy, I did.

Sounds like a ticking time bomb, hopefully it wont happen to mine.
I have 6k on it now, took it in for a reflash on the tranny to correct slow downshifts. TSB 21-011-14 There were 3 other flashes listed HVAC, PCM and AMP, so they did those too. The tranny flashed fixed the slow downshifting on med to hard acceleration.

so tomorrow my 2014 ram 1500 goes to dealer.... a few weeks ago started to hear a tapping noise at idle, went away in a few days then my check engine light comes on P219A improper air/fuel mixture imbalance then P0303 came on.... I replaced o2 sensor bank1 sensor1 and p219a code goes away... but also having this misfire when trying to pass someone, now its misfiring and idle too.... I replaced #3 fuel injector, all spark plugs and swapped coil from 3 to 1 and still having misfire #3.... any thoughts out there???? i still have my powertrain 100k waaranty on it

If you are under warranty, why are you replacing the parts yourself?

Understandable. Curious to see what they find
