The projectors don't use H11's. You'll also need a wiring harness to install them on your truck if you haven't got that already.

If both say 9005 then you probably got them from a 2016+.

Buy 2 9011, trim the tabs and put them in both. The projector should be pretty obvious. Like look top down and see which is left and which is right?

Be careful though, the projector doesn't take a regular 9005 (although a 9005 will fit) it takes a 9005 SL+ which burns brighter. However, you can replace it with a 9011 and get a much better bulb.

Sorry I wasn't more specific... when I opened up the assembly this is what found:
In the right slot (behind the projector dome) a Sylvania HB3U 9005 SL+
On the left (towards center of truck) a Sylvania HB3U 9005 bulb

So, if I understand correctly, these headlights take (1) 9005 SL+ and (1) 9005?

I just received some Diamond White bulbs (1 set each of 9005, H11 and H10) from Recon and can exchange them for different sizes if needed. I just need to know what sizes to get.

I am not very inclined to go modifying bulbs right now. I just want to know what size bulbs I need in order to get these lights on my truck.

I also would love to know which slot is high beam and which slot is low beam. :4-dontknow:

 

Do the 2016 headlights physically fit on a 2012? I thought the grill was shaped differently.

 

I run them in my truck. I can confirm they fit lol

 

From what i can see when comparing my 2009 & 2016 grilles
It is the lower corners of the grille that is different, also the grille emblems are different

The headlights outer shape does look the same
I know the rear of the headlights have differences, even the number of vents are different

2009 lower corners almost make a 90° curve

2013 - 2016 lower corners look like they were chopped off & they have 2 adjusters instead of one on the 2016

I have not looked closely at the 2016 REBEL grille
They seem to have a shape almost like the 2009 - 2012 Rams

2009 headlight adjustment only has 1 place to adjust in the fender

2016 fender has 2 places for adjusters

 

OK so it looks like the grill shape change is at the bottom of the headlights. I wasn't sure if they would fit for him.

 

Same headlight for 09-17. The grill change only affected the bumper. As for the 2 wholes in the fender to adjust the headlights. One is for the projector headlights the other is for nonprojector headlights

Also when you go to install these 2013+ projector headlights on your 2012 you will have to drill new holes in the fender for the adjustment screws.

I had to do this on my 2009 and 2010 trucks.
